section below<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It is not recommended to choose <code>DXVA2 (native)<\/code> as it may cause quality loss in some cases <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><code>Output Formats<\/code>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><code>RGB Output levels<\/code> -> Select <code>PC (0-255)<\/code><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><code>Dithering Mode<\/code> -> Dithering algorithm. For mostly watching movies, <code>Ordered Dithering<\/code> is recommended. For mostly watching anime, <code>Random Dithering<\/code> is recommended<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In reality, for the usage scenarios in this tutorial (using MPCVR as the renderer), the output is almost always YUV data with the same bit depth as the source. Changing this option is to prevent the issue of the statistics font being too small to read.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><code>Wait for V-Blank before Present<\/code> &#8211; Checking this may improve playback smoothness<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><code>DXVA2 and D3D11 video processor<\/code> -> Use for: <strong>Uncheck all<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>DXVA2 and D3D11 video processor will override the settings in the Shader video processor section below. It offers the best performance, but the quality depends on the graphics card and may cause inaccurate colors due to driver issues. It is not recommended for use in non-special circumstances.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Shader video processor section:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li> <code>Chroma scaling<\/code> &#8211; <code>Catmull-Rom<\/code> is recommended; <code>Bilinear<\/code> can be chosen if performance is poor.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The algorithm selected here is used to upscale the chroma of yuv420\/422 video (generally not very perceptible).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><code>Upscaling<\/code> &#8211; <code>Jinc2m<\/code> is recommended.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The algorithm selected here is used to upscale the video frame (e.g., 720p -> 1080p).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><code>Downscaling<\/code> &#8211; <code>Bicubic<\/code>\/<code>Bicubic sharp<\/code> is recommended; the latter is a bit sharper than the former.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The algorithm selected here is used to downscale the video frame (e.g., 2160p -> 1080p).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><code>Use the \"Upscaling\" method to reduce the frame to 50%<\/code>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>This option means: when the target size is >= 50% of the source video, use the same algorithm as &#8220;Upscaling&#8221; to downscale the video.Whether to check this depends on personal preference.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li> <code>Use dithering<\/code> &#8211; It is highly recommended to check this.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>HDR section<br>I don&#8217;t have an HDR display available.
